I just came back from a class reunion and I saw my life lessons teacher. She also taught health. One of my class mates said you know she took my virginity. Mine too , mine too some boys replied. So when we had a quiet corner we asked her about it. This was her response.

You know even with a 1000 students in the freshman class we have had no suicides for the 8 years I was teaching. It was bad before I got here and that’s why we started the program. It was an un-offical program backed by the school and only three people knew . I had the only key to my room and no one walked in or knocked when I was with a student. So no one blew the whistle for all those years. Sure they did. We had an agreement with the news paper and many people saw the good the program did . We had big support when we explained the program. It was never abuse and I was never the aggressive one. And I always cut them off after the third time. I put a lot of hours on my back on that couch. I was always cheering the boys on at dances and pointing them to better girls. I handed out a semi truck full of condoms. Of course I never used condoms much because the boys were virgins and my tubes were tied . I loved the job but look at me now. No teenager wants to zip my skirt down now and see my sags and wrinkles. Thanks we all said one after another. I was the last one and she looked at me . I gave you lots of chances but you were fine and you run a nice little business. Well I still have my virginity too. She looked in my eyes yes you do . She told me where she lived but I didn’t go but I still have her number.
