We had planned to have sex for about a month, and it was my idea. I like to have the final say in my relationships. It came down to the day, and I was totally prepared– I’d researched birth control, picked the hotel, and even told my mom I felt ready to have sex and was “spending the night” with my boyfriend. Tropic Thunder was playing in the background, so I asked him to turn that off, but after kissing some more I began to feel like I wasn’t afraid anymore so I told him I was ready after all. It was kind of like an out of body experience. I felt like I was watching myself lay there while he got it over with. It neither hurt, nor felt very good. It was just really interesting. After looking forward to it for so long, I was a little let down, but I am a determined girl, so I waited until he was ready, and then we did it again. Let me just say, I was infinitely more pleased with my second time.
