I had met him online. I was 16, he was 33. His name was Rob and he was skinny with long hair and leathery skin. He was flying through New Orleans at the same time that I was there and he met me at the youth hostel I was staying at. I was embarrassed and shocked by his appearance, I had expected someone less scary looking. But we got to talking and day turned to night. We were in the back of the youth hostel, on a secluded picnic table and he asked me if I wanted to have sex. I hesitated because I honestly was scared and didn’t know what I wanted to do. But he pressured me and I thought it was as good a time as any to get it over with so I said yes. It was painful and awkward because I didn’t even know where to put my legs. I got no enjoyment out of it except the knowledge that after this I would no longer be a virgin. He bought me breakfast afterwards and then we came back to his room and did it again. I was scared an unsure of myself. I was so young and he was so old. Now when I think back on it I am upset that the younger me took such a huge risk. And that that slime ball Rob took advantage of me. But the experience helped form me as a person. It taught me a valuable lesson at a young age. Not to be taken advantage of by older men.
