An update of a story I wrote a couple, three years ago, archive #52718. A couple days ago I encountered a photo of the girl I wrote about, that stirred my memory and I recalled the last time I saw her, a couple years ago where I visited her in a county jail, picked up for probation violation. She told me then that at the jail she had been to the doctor for something ailing her and she found out she was also pregnant. A few days ago when I saw her photo I entered her name in Google search and it brought up a mug shot and arrest a month ago and was 4 new charges, one old charge for a total of 5 charges, first was violation of a restraining order, 2nd was possession of meth, then two theft charges and about $35000 bail. She still apparently has no home, no money, and has chosen the wrong paths. She has gained about 40 lbs since I saw her last and looks old and bad on the mug shot. I am saddened, she was a very pretty girl when I tried to help her in those prior years, and I know she used me and would come to my place when she needed something, and would tease me by offering sex, which I somehow avoided, lucky I was not the father of her baby. I now live a couple hundred miles from where all this occured, and I know she stopped at my friends place about 5 months ago and inquired about me and left her phone number, I never called her tho. I’ll live with the good memories of her years ago now.
