I grew up in a very upper class neighborhood. Despite most of the wealth, our neighborhood was very down-to-earth. Everyone watched each others kids, were very good friends, did lots of things together, etc. And, often, we teenagers had beach parties, which were usually chaperoned and very innocent, but lots of fun.
I lived around the corner from the Chief of Police. He and his wife had 5 children, the oldest two being twin boys, Davey and Donny. They were best friends, but polar opposites. Donny was the sweetest, nicest guy in the world, always helping people. He was a lot of fun to date because he treated you like a lady. Davey, on the other hand, was wild. They both drove sports cars, but Davy’s personalized plates spelled “HOTSHOT.” That described him well. He had one thing on his mind and that was getting laid, which he did often. I was friends with both of them and although most nice girls wouldn’t be caught dead with Davy, I was very attracted to him. He was nice to me. He was the boy that parents kept their daughters away from. My parents never would let me go to these parties if they knew he was going to be there. They’d let me go if his brother was there, but not him.
I believed in waiting until marriage for sex and was determined to stick to that goal. One night, after a beach party, everyone went out driving and having fun. I wound up with Davy in the back of someone’s Jeep. There were no adults present. He and I were talking and then started kissing. I was a freshman and he was a senior. I’d never been kissed before and it was wonderful. He started fondling my breasts and to my surprise, I let him. He unbuttoned my blouse and unsnapped my bra and fondled and kissed my breasts. He wanted to go much further, but I wouldn’t. Although I loved the feeling, I wasn’t proud of what I’d let him do. I refused to do that again.
After I was an adult, he and I started dating again. By this time, he was a police officer himself, as was his twin brother. He still had one thing on his mind, but I wouldn’t give in. After months of dating, he asked me to marry him. I was thrilled. I’d been in love with him since high school and didn’t think I stood a chance with him. But, we were married, much to my parents’ dismay.
I knew on our honeymoon, our wedding night, what he expected from me. And, although I wanted it too, I was terified. But, he was very sweet about it. He said we could wait if I wasn’t ready, but I wanted to. He was very gentle and loving. I know I wasn’t the first virgin he’d laid, but I was the one who got his ring and his name….
We’ve been married for almost 20 years now. We’ve had our ups and down, but are still in love.
